Kiss (original painting of a man enjoying painting by Gustav Klimt)
original painting of a man enjoying painting The Kiss by Gustav Klimt
acrylic on panel (masonite)
71" x 41 1/4" or 180 x 120 cm
After being locked up in my studio for over a month I'm happy to present my very first large scale painting Kiss!
It measures a whopping 71x47" or 180x120cm. By far the largest hyperrealism painting I did thus far. For years I dreamt of painting something that big and that's why I organized a crowdfunding event on Kicktstarter back in may. Even though I didn't get fully funded with the support of my backers I was finally able to paint a really big one.
Kiss shows a man enjoying a painting entitled The Kiss by Gustav Klimt. He painted it between 1907 and 1908, the highpoint of his so-called Golden Period, when he painted a number of works in a similar gilded style. I always loved this painting and thought it would be a perfect motive for my first large scale painting.
I created Kiss with the finest quality of acrylic on gessoed panel. The style, tonality and use of color are easy to recognize as mine and very typical for my work. The painting is signed at the back and front. Included on the back are also all the names of the people who made this painting possible. Kiss comes with a hand signed certificate of authenticity.
An installment plan to spread payments over a convenient length of time is possible. Please feel free to contact me for more details if you happen to be interested in such an arrangement.
Shipping takes about three weeks no matter where you live in the world. You'll receive your painting safely packaged in a wooden crate. Kiss is ready to be installed immediately.
Prints are available until august 15 (see other listing).
Please feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions. I would be happy to answer all of your inquiries personally and send you any additional images you might need. Thank you and I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
Kind regards, Gerard Boersma
