small study of a woman enjoying painting of water lilies by Claude Monet
acrylic on panel (masonite)
8" x 8" or 20 x 20 cm
Claude Monet’s 'Water Lilies' series (or Nympheas in French), inspired by the lily pond in his garden at Giverny, are amongst the most celebrated Impressionist paintings. Many of the works were painted while Monet suffered from cataracts. On my study you see a woman enjoying one of those paintings.
I create small studies like Amor in preparation for a finished piece or just as visual notes. I often use my small studies to understand the problems involved in rendering subjects and to plan the elements to be used in finished works, such as light, color, form, perspective and composition.
These small studies are exclusively available through my shop and blog. All studies are signed on the reverse.
Shipping takes about two weeks no matter where you live in the world. Price includes shipping and handling. You'll receive your painting safely packaged and ready to frame.
