The woman on my painting is enjoying a painting by Cy Twombly. Best-known are Twombly's large-scaled works of freely-scribbled and calligraphic works on solid fields of mostly off-white colors. Twombly allowed the practice of writing, a free hand, an untethered mind and soul to dictate his strokes and scribbles.
