In the aftermath of the breakdown that resulted in the self-mutilation of his left ear, Van Gogh voluntarily admitted himself to the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole lunatic asylum. Here he painted Starry Night. Many feel that van Gogh´s turbulent quest to overcome his illness is reflected in the dimness of the night sky. The village is painted with dark colors but the brightly lit windows create a sense of comfort.

Starry Night is an original, 100% handmade painting and comes with a hand signed Certificate of Authenticity. The painting is signed at the back and front. An installment plan is possible to spread payments over a convenient length of time.
